Lakeside Lab is conducting E. coli bacteria testing on the Iowa Great Lakes.  The Iowa recreational standard is <235 MPN/100ml E. coli for primary contact recreation (swimming).  Samples are collected near popular recreation locations and tested by the State Hygienic Lab located at Lakeside.  Test requires 24 hours before results are available.  Lakeside will continue testing until lake levels recede.
